The Green Onion seeds are ripe! Inspire your children to learn about seed production or become interested in growing their own seeds by showing them the seeds in their coats. After harvest I always keep a few of the plants in the ground, on purpose, to go to seed. When the coat opens up it becomes a beautiful blossom full of hundreds of little white flowers. Inside each flower is three black seeds. The children can gently shake them out of the coat, and plant. Or if they are allowed to stay in the garden they will reseed themselves like magic.

Sweet Pea Forest
Here is last Summer's sunflower house being taken over by the sweet peas.

A dark purple variety
What I originally thought would be a sweet pea maze has, because of neglect (I never put the supports up for them), become a forest. When I open any door or window I smell the sweet scent of sweet peas coming into the house. Want to grow a maze/ meadow or forest for your children's garden? Seeds will be selling shortly on Etsy. Planting time is the first week of October for Spring Blooms.
